Photographs can now be uploaded and viewed directly from the Venues Bookings forum

Please use WhatsApp to send your photos to Kenneth Rybarczyk (mobile number on our Members' Contact Information forum). Photos will then be attached to the relevant meets page in Venue Bookings forum.

Alternatively you can still email them using the instructions below but please re-size them before sending (some email providers will re-size for you). Photos should be less than 1MB.

To make a photograph suitable for web posting

Download and instal Irfanview from www.irfanview.com
This is a free download and does not contain any spyware.

Run the program and open your photograph using and navigating to where you have stored your images.

From the main menu bar select Image then Resize/Resample. Select the 800 X 600 pixels radio button and OK.

From the main menu bar select File then Save (original folder) or to keep them separate, to a new folder (which you must create) using Save as...

Make sure the file type for saving is selected to

Use the slide control to set the quality to 70%.

Use the File name box to add a caption for your photograph (keep it very brief)

Move onto your next photograph using

Send your resized photos to admin@capelrig.org.uk

Tips
You can try experimenting further with your image (before you save) by using some of the other functions available. For example, from the Image menu, select Auto adjust colours which may improve the contrast or from the same menu, Sharpen may make the image clearer especially if you have cropped a particular area and re-sized it.
